she needs to cut her hair to say good-bye to the girl who took orders and did what she was told ; However she didn't turn her back on responsibilities, but she changed the way she accept them.

In the quote,we can infer that Georgie decides to change not only her appearance but also her attitude. Before she has the new hair cut, she is used by Mark to do some illegal job for him without telling David. Georgie discovers the truth after David get angry at what she has done to help Mark. Also, she has tried to sneak into the Mark's house to steal documents that can get David out of troubles. She is busy being an good girl and taking every order from others. She is tired of getting controlled by David and Mark, so she decides to change herself. She doesn't want to care about what other people think anymore because she decides to be herself now. She doesn't want to keep living under others' expectations.

Why the quote is important to the novel?
The quote is important to the navel because it is the moment that the main character Georgie start to change herself. After having hair cut, she realizes that what she need is not a new hair style. The most of important that she finds out is her confidence. She is full of confidence after she changes her hair style. She decides that she is not going to follow what other people want her to do. From now on, she is going to be the one who can decide her choices. Now, She understands why Audrey Hepburn who is the main character in her favorite movie called Roman Holiday would like to have hair cut. She doesn't cut it for romance or adventure because she cuts it to show that she is going to be an responsible queen who can be the leader of England. In the end of the novel, Georgie finally realizes the main theme about Roman Holiday. Roman Holiday is not only had romance and adventure, but also tell us how to make our decision which will affect our future.

This quote is significant to me because I also think every decision will lead to different result, so we need to have the responsibilities for our own choice. Before we make any choice, we should think it careful , so we are not going to regret our decision in the end. I believe our life is make of lots of choices and decisions. It is very important that we are on the right direction all the time because each decision that we have made can end up different result. We should choose the choice which is good for ourselves. Most of important of all, we should decide our choice by ourselves. It is okay that taking others' advice , but we should combined others and our idea together to figure out the final decision. Each person should be the one who makes him/her decision without being bothering by others' opinion.

There are more and more people pursue the style or brand of product. However, these are only the name of product. We just need to wear what we want to wear without others' thoughts. We need to share our own style instead of running after the fashion. It is important to be ourselves. If we are lost ourselves, we are going to lost our confidence, too. We need to be confident to ourselves and taking others' advice so that we won't be controlled by others. We are what we look like, so we don't need to really care about others' opinion. We should be able to do what we want to do and enjoy our freedom. It is our responsibilities to take care of what we wear, but we shouldn't break the rules or unlimited.

In this quote, we know that Georgie still dependent because she still can't be able to solve her problems by her own. She goes to ask advice and help from her mother. At first, Georgie's mom is also mad at her because she thinks what Georgie is very stupid. She told her that she should trust the one who loves and cares about her instead of trusting the man by judging his appearance. At first, Georgie was angry because her mom just tells her what she already knows. After while, she realizes that she needs to take this lesson seriously and try to wake up from her dream in order to solve David's problems which are created by her.

Why the quote is important to the novel?
From this quote, we know that Georgie has caused problems which will even get David into serious problems. However, she couldn't calm down to figure out the solution because she is thinking that whether David will still love her or not. We infer that Georgie doesn't learn her lesson until her mother tells her the truth. The truth is Georgie is very selfish because she only thinks it she will lose anything. When she faces the problems, she doesn't really tries to find out the main problem to solve it because she only wants to solve problems that will affect her life. She doesn't really care about what other people's result. Her mom play an important role in this role because she is the person who wake Georgie up from her fascinated dream. It is time from her to wake up and come back to face the real world. She can't always run away from problems or ask somebody ,such as m her mother, for help. She needs to grow up and be an independent and responsible adult. She need to not only solve her problems but also solve others' problem.

This quote is significant to me because I was also a child who like to ask others to solve my problems for me. I think it is easier for me to ask other to solve problems instead of taking a lots of time figure out the answer by myself. However, the world is cool, so we need to learn to do anything or solve any problem. Because when we grow up and enter this real world, there is nobody going to help you. The only people who is going to solve our problem are ourselves. We can't not depend on other people forever because we are the only people who have the key to open the doors that we want to. The other people can only help you find the key to open the door . However, I am the only person who have the key and can push doors. If I can not be confident for myself, anything is useless anymore. We need to believe ourselves that we can do it, then do it. The answer of the question is not going to be too far away from us anymore.

This quote related to two points of the world now. First, most of people want to got the answer from other. They don't want to go through the process because they think the result in the end is the most important thing. They don't want to take their time to think about their faults or mistakes, so they just ignore their problem or throw them to other people. However, What Georgie's mother has done is to let her daughter to solve her problems by herself. She only gives her hints when she asks for help. It is a good chance to let children to solve problems by themselves. There is a saying"teaching your children how to fish is batter than giving them fish." Parents could tell their children how to solve the problem but they need to go to solve their problems by themselves. Only when they are doing and trying by themselves, they will be able to have a chance to learn by them selves. Also , from this quote we can infer some people choose to solves their problems instead of solving the whole problem. They only want to get a rid problem that is related and refuse to solve the problems that also related to others. However, we should solve the problem that we caused, so other people will not be affected by us.

I always thought David was so predictable ,and yet I feel like I am almost getting to know him all over again ,so I don't think I have ever been so happy.

In the quote, we know that Georgie discovers the other side of David. David seems to be the other person who is funny, romantic, and attractive when they stay together in Rome. David shows his adventurous behavior, such as, going to anywhere that Georgie want to go, riding a scooter, and dancing with her in a pub. Georgie is so happy that she could meet and stay with him when they are in Rome. Mark doesn't want to go to a tour with Georgie because he is still busy on his business. Georgie has to wonder around Rome by herself without any company. On her way to the Italian Church, she bumped into David. David apologizes to her about their fights and cancel his schedule for a day to stay with Georgie. She is very pleased that David is more care about her than Mark did. David does many thoughtful and special things for her, so she is glad that she choose David to stay with her in Rome. She realizes that David is more considerate than Mark.

The quote is important to the novel because it tells us what happens in the Rome. The readers are very surprised that Georgie bumped into David who is going to Geneva for business. In Rome, David seems to changed into the other person that Georgie has never known before. He has done everything to amaze Georgie. Though Mark is the one who brings Georgie to Rome, he doesn't really care about what she feels. In a trip to Rome, Georgie gets a chance to compare two boyfriends. Thought Mike is handsome, he is very selfish and doesn't respect her opinions at all. On the other side, David is much better than Mark. David cancels all his work and take her to every place that she wants to visit. In the quote, we could infer that Georgie starts to make her decisions after comparing their behavior and personalities. David seems to win her heart after doing many romantic things.

I think this quote is significant to me because it remind me a movie called Coraline.Coraline lives with her preoccupied parents in a huge old house. After a while, she discovers a door which has a distorted-mirror world, containing presumably everything Coraline has ever dreamed of. Both Georgie and Coraline like adventures because they are tired of their life. They are not satisfied with what they have already had, so they want to go to other place to experience something brand new. In the end, they discover what they had before are better than what they have dreamed , so they decide to go back their own world. For example, Coraline tries her best to got out the dreamed world because she discovers her parents in her real world are people who really teach her lesson instead of doing everything she wants for her. On the other side, Georgie knows David is her true love because he is more trustful and dependable than her ex-boyfriend.I think these two story are very similar to each other.

From this quote, we could also discover that most people don't realize how significant what they had now until they lost them. Nowadays, people like to compare themselves to one another. If they don't have the same advantages or benefits, they will start to complain and ask for it. For example, the technology is evolving rapidly, so there are thousand of new style cell phone coming out every day. Some people are crazy about the new function or fashion of cell phone, so they decided to buy the new one to show off. However, they realize that their old cell phones are better because they used to use them instead of using new complicated cell phones. Though we can get our own old stuffs back most of the time, there is also something that we can never get it back. For instance, some children regret that they didn't taking good care of their parents when they are still alive. However, it says "Don't cry for spilled milk." because no matter how hard you cry for, your parents will never come back to life again. We should be satisfied with what we had now ,so we will not have a chance to regret them.
